Of course, hunting, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling and ice-skating are extremely popular pursuits in the "Land of 10,000 Lakes." During the winter months, mini-cities spring up on frozen lakes as ice fisherman set up elaborate "Shanty Towns," some complete with color televisions.

When it comes to shopping, there is plenty of opportunity. There are town centers and shops throughout the city for everyday needs. The largest fully enclosed retail and entertainment complex, the Mall of America, is located a short drive away in Bloomington. This shopping complex attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. Inside this mall are hundreds of stores, entertainment venues, an attraction park and several restaurants.
